Eco-STYLE: nail polish

Love the manicured look but hate what the chemicals might be doing to you and the planet? Amanda Fay, founder of Fayded Creations, has published a review of nail polishes that don’t contain toluene or other substances widely considered to be bad for people and the earth. The brand that comes out on top of Amanda’s review is Zoya. At $7 a bottle, some might find it steep…but how often do we really use up a bottle of nail polish? Don’t know about you, but I usually end up getting tired of a color and giving it away (or having to dispose if it — ack) rather than using it up. $7 seems fine to me, all things considered.

Hi dragonfly jenny! Don’t know if you’re familiar with BlogHer, but we’re helping them organize a little holiday get-together in Austin at Central Market on December 3rd. Details here: http://tinyurl.com/yfa5a7c
If you don’t have a login on BlogHer.com to comment on that post but you plan to stop by, just let us know, a rough headcount would be helpful. And please feel free to pass it on to other Austin (and nearby) bloggers, blog readers, and tweeters!
Any Qs, please ask, we’d love to see you there.
Best,
Skye of lizardkingdom.org
and
Maryann of tiedupwithablackvelvetband.blogspot.com
Hey Skye and Maryann - thanks for stopping by! I will be out of town during your event but if you send me a PLAIN TEXT email, no attachments, I would be happy to send it out to Austinperm, a green list with about 800 members
I wonder if we can find it in lime green.
